Professor Mirosław Grewiński, Ph. D.
Since 2011 – Professor of Janusz Korczak University of Pedagogy in Warsaw. In 2010 received the Habilitation Doctorate in Humanities in Political Science (Warsaw University, Faculty of Journalism and Political Science). In 2001 received PhD in Social Sciences in Sociology (University of Warsaw, Institute of Applied Social Sciences). In 1999-2001 took part in Doctoral Studies in the University of Warsaw, at Institute of Applied Social Sciences, he worked on doctoral thesis: “The European Social Fund as a structural instrument supporting the European Union's social policy”. In 2001 – received PhD in social sciences in the field of sociology. In years 1994 to 1999 studied in the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Journalism and Political Sciences - Institute of Social Policy and received in 1999 MA in political science in the field of social policy.
2. Since 2012 till now (Chairman of the Chair of Social Policy, a member of Yunus Social Business Chair at Korczak University in Warsaw. He was the. Vice-Rector in Janusz Korczak University of Pedagogy in Warsaw in 2012-2018. Since 2014 the President of the Board of the General Society of Knowledge in Warsaw, Poland; Since 2016 the President of the Main Board of the Polish Society for Social Policy in Warsaw, Poland.
3. Author and co-author of over 40 books on social policy, including social services. Author of over 200 scientific articles. Author of nearly 50 reviews and 30 expert opinions on social policy and social services. Author of nearly 400 speeches and presentations at national and foreign conferences in the field of social policy and social services; scientific research concerns social services, social innovations, integration of services, family policy, and policies for children and youth. In 2018 prepared an expert opinion for the Chancellery of the President of Poland on defining social services and an integrated model of social services. He also belonged to the board of managing many EU innovative projects such as: the Innovative Projects called “the Staff Ready to Changes” as well as “Transformers” (Interreg Fund). “Digital Social Innovation for Young People” and many others financed by the EU, Norwegian, Polish funds... and many others. Author of nearly 400 speeches at national and foreign conferences in the field of social policy and social services.
Marek Kawa

PhD Marek Kawa is a lecturer at Janusz Korczak Pedagogical University in Warsaw. The main areas of his interests are cultural and social anthropology, American studies, literature studies, social policy.
He is the author of a monography book, co-author of two, and has published articles in magazines such as First Things and The Polish News Monthly. In 2003, Dr. Kawa received his Ph.D. in Literature Science at the Polish Philology Institute of University of Opole; he also graduated in 2012 from the American Studies (MA) at the Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora of Jagiellonian University in Cracow. He is currently involved in local community initiatives and actions as the vice chairman of the Opole City Council.
In 2007 he was appointed by Sejm of the Republic of Poland as a member of Polish delegation to the Council of Europe. He was also a member of two committees of the Council of Europe: Social, Health and Family Affairs Committee, and Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men. He was involved in two innovative EFS projects as a coordinator in 2012-2015.
He is a co-author of an important international book (Towards Changes of the Labor Market, Skills and Competences. Published in. Elipsa Publ., Warsaw 2020) devoted to the latest social competences, with particular emphasis on contemporary changes in critical thinking, as well as in social policy, sociological background. With such methodological approach he participated in the international project "Transformers" implemented in 2016-18 as part of Scandinavian funds in cooperation with the Korczak University in Warsaw (Transformers. Future of Labour Market. Interreg).
