State Border Guard College in collaboration with Rezekne Academy of Technologies calls for the participation in
10th International Scientific and practical conference BORDER SECURITY AND MANAGEMENT

Aim of the conference is to identify the latest research results and best practices in the development and implementation of innovative solutions in border security and management by promoting discussion on migration challenges and public security issues, integrated border management, the role of cooperation in border security and management, the role of the latest technology in national security, the challenges of educating law enforcement personnel, as well the ethical and psychological aspects of border management.
Conference research directions:
- Challenges of migration and possible solutions in the context of the current geopolitical situation
- Integrated Border Management: the best practices and applicability
- Cooperation in border security and management
- Challenges posed by the latest technologies to national security

Participation in the Conference and publication of the article for representatives of the State Border Guard College, as well as for representatives of partner institutions invited by the State Border Guard College is free of charge.
Publications: research papers, after reviewing will be published in the journal of Internal security and civil defence sciences “Border security and management”. The journal is indexed in EBSCOhost database.
Working language of the conference: English
Conference will take place in Rēzekne, Latvia and online.

It should be noted that papers must be written in exact BSM format before they are uploaded to a conference, as this contributes to the best appeareance of the proceedings. JOHN J. BERZINSH was born in Riga, Latvia and went to the Free University of Malnava, where he studied information technology and obtained his degree in 1980. He worked for a couple of years for the Rezekne Software Company EDUSOFT before moving in 1986 to the University of Anytown where he is now leading a large research group in the field of development of Worldwide e-Learning systems.
